Sacramento Call Center

Sacramento is the capital of California and is the seventh largest city in the state. According to the 2007 census, the city has a total population of 460,242 and is also the second largest inland city. The name Sacramento is taken from the Spanish language which also means “sacrament.” According to Time Magazine 2004, the city has been named as one of the five “most livable” regions in America and was also cited by Time as America’s most integrated in 2002.

Sacramento's history began in 1839 when Johann Augustus Sutter settled at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers. When the Mexican government and Governor Alvarado granted 48,000 acres of land to Sutter, they did not realize that they had given away a literal goldmine. Gold was discovered in 1848 just thirty miles east of Sacramento, in Coloma.

Sprint, widely recognized for developing, engineering and deploying innovative technologies, is looking to add more people to its team in Sacramento. One of the call center's most successful events is "Treats for the Troops" providing baked goods for overseas military personnel. In addition, the company invested more than $1 billion in California since 2006 to enhance its networks for area customers.
